Apple’s most anticipated event will take place today at Cupertino. Unlike, all previous years, Apple’s WWDC event was just a software affair. No new hardware was announced at WWDC 2011 this year, which was quite surprising looking at the track record of Apple. However, Apple will not disappoint us as they announced their new event to be held in their own backyard- Town Hall Auditorium, Cupertino, California.
In the past we have seen many news surrounding Apple’s future iPhone—iPhone 4S and iPhone 5. Like all years, we saw plenty of images, news and leaks surrounding Apple’s future iDevice. Today is the big day that will put an end to all the rumors. We will witness one more event, which will historically mark a new beginning of powerful mobile OS era.
Apple’s new CEO Tim Cook will make his first public appearance. Many eyes are on Tim Cook, especially after the end of reign of Steve Jobs—company’s most successful CEO. This will put Tim Cook under scrutiny as all the people are awaiting for his first major iDevice release announcement. No doubt, he has done a tremendous job in the past in the absence of Steve Jobs, but this will be his first public appearance as a CEO of the company.
