Ever since Apple integrated twitter right into the stock firmware, twitter has witnessed a tremendous growth. Although, there is no official report available, but twitter would have grabbed few thousands if not millions of users. The combination of twitter and iOS 5 is the dream come true for any iDevice owner. There are already bug full of twitter tweaks and plugins (LockInfo plugin) available that will invoke the twitter from any part of the system.

QuickTweet is one such cydia tweak for iOS 5+ devices that places a quick option in the notification center. Installing QuickTweet from thebigboss repo will place a small twitter icon at the bottom left-hand corner, from where you can compose the tweet and send it directly to your twitter follower. Users of Activator may find it useful since the options in activator are very limited. The tweak silently gets installed. There are no options to configure.

However, advanced users might feel that there are more options needed to be incorporated to make this tweak more useful. Should it integrate options to check the mentions, messages etc, then it would have been much more pragmatic.

For normal users, QuickTweet brings super easy way to tweet from notification center. Just open notification center by swiping down and tap on the twitter icon at the bottom left corner. Just compose your message and send. That’s it!!! Your tweet will be automatically sent to your twitter timeline.

QuickTweet is available for free on TheBigBoss repo. Just refresh the cydia and search for ‘QuickTweet’ and install it. There is a cydia tweak called Sireet for iPhone 4S which lets you tweet using voice command. If you’re iPhone 4S user, then you might want to check out this cydia tweak.
