Such transparency have never been seen in the 3 years long history of jailbreak.

At last, iPhone 4S users have something to brag about. Ever since the announcement of iPhone 4S by Apple, users have been suffering from poor battery performance, which is still unresolved after two iteration (firmware release).

Absinthe to Jailbreak iPhone 4S and iPad 2

Dream team has put in considerable amount of time and efforts in developing Absinthe for the A5 users. As a time of writing, only Mac version is out, so Windows and Linux users would have to wait bit longer to get their hands on this tool. As mentioned in our previous post, iPhone Dev team will offer redsn0w once CLI flow is done.

Absinthe is compatible with the following firmware version:

• iPad 2 on iOS 5.0.1
• iPhone 4S on iOS 5.0 and iOS 5.0.1

Earlier today, MuscleNerd did warn the iPhone 4S users about the consequences of upgrading to iOS 5.0.1. We are reiterating and emphasizing the same. If your iPhone 4S on iOS 5.0, then you might want to cling to same firmware version to take advantage of any carrier-unlock that is developed in the future.

As you would expect, the Chronic Dev Team server is crashed due to thousands of request. The tool is very simple to use and doesn’t include fancy method to implement the jailbreak. It will automatically trigger the whole process once you successfully connected your iPhone 4S or iPad 2 to the tool.

The Dev team CLI tool should follow next. There is no information available regarding sn0wbreeze for Windows users. We suspect that sn0wbreeze users will have to wait for a prolong time to receive the iOS 5.0.1 jailbreak.
